Workspace system

A good home office starts with posture, light, and fewer friction points.

You do not need a showroom desk. You need a surface that holds steady, a screen at a sane height, input devices that keep your shoulders relaxed, and a room cue that says work has started.

Desk and surface

Pick stability over style. A folding table can work if it does not wobble, has enough depth for your forearms, and keeps cables away from your feet.

Ergonomics

Raise your laptop on a stand or stack of books, then use an external keyboard and mouse. The goal is neutral wrists, relaxed shoulders, and fewer neck dips.

Light and camera

Face a window or place a lamp behind the screen. If you take calls, test your camera at the time of day you actually meet.
